Catia is the reigning Miss Gay America 2000, an honor earned in Washington, DC, in October,1999. Prior to becoming a female impersonator, Catia was a competitive ballroom dancer and instructor, becoming a seven time United States Ballroom Dance Champion and two time United States representative to the World Amateur Latin Dance Championships. NOTE: The work toward the MGA title, combined with efforts to earn other titles such as Miss Mid-America 2000, Miss Mid -South 1999, Miss Gay Oklahoma America 1998, Miss Southeast Texas America 1997, Miss Rivercity America, Miss San Antonio America, Miss Bacchus, Miss Gentry, and Miss Sweetheart EJ's have helped Catia hone the skills of the trade and meet many wonderful people along the way. Catia resides in Princess Paula's home town, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and performs regularly at both the Silver Star and New Age Renegade nightclubs as well as in Oklahoma City (at Angles). Catia's current priority is to carry out the duties of Miss Gay America to the utmost; establishing a legacy that elevates the title to a new level.

If all this isn't enough, Catia plans to continue studies in fashion design and use that knowledge, along with proven talent and hard-earned experience, to open a costume production company for dancers, entertainers, and skaters. Princess Paula is ready to be the first in line!.
